AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Heavy Equipment Operator

Description
This skilled position involves the operation of multiple types of heavy equipment used in construction activities. Average work days are 10-12 hours per day and require overtime hours. 5-6 days per week possible; full-time seasonal during construction season.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience
  • Applicants need to be able to operate multiple machines.
  • The main machine applicant would be operating would be a hydraulic excavator, but you may be asked to operate dozers, loaders, graders, haul trucks, scrapers or rollers, as well.
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs.
  • Tschiggfrie does a lot of underground utility work and prefers experience in this field.
  • A valid driver’s license is highly recommended and required for most jobs. A CDL license is preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation to work sites.
  • Pre-employment drug testing required.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay: $28.00 per hour minimum. Prevailing wage jobs pay higher if greater than union.

Construction Laborers – Skilled and Non-Skilled

Description
Skilled and unskilled laborers work on multiple job sites, installing underground utilities and concrete work. We have a PCC concrete paving crew, a catch basin/curb crew, a site prep crew, and many pipe crews. Average work days are 10-12 hours per day and require overtime hours. 5-6 days per week possible; full-time seasonal during construction season.

Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation to work sites.
  • A valid driver’s license is highly recommended and required for most jobs. A CDL license is preferred.
  • Work is within 150 mile radius of Dubuque, IA. Must be willing to travel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75+ lbs.
  • Pre-employment drug screen required.

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay: $18.18 per hour minimum. Prevailing wage jobs pay higher if greater than union.

Class A CDL Truck Driver

Description

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of commercial motor vehicles including but not limited to dump trucks, tractor and trailer. Average work days are 10-12 hours per day and require overtime hours. 5-6 days per week possible; full-time seasonal during construction season.

Qualifications

  • 2 Years of prior driving experience
  • Requires driving semi tractors pulling conveyor, belly dump, and side dump trailers
  • Products hauled include asphalt, dirt, and stone products from quarries and job sites
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Class A CDL required
  • Current physical card required
  • Air brake endorsement required
  • Seasonal work up to 50 hours per week, within 150 mile radius of Dubuque.
  • Pre-employment drug screen.

  • Pay Range: $21.60 per hour minimum. Prevailing wage jobs pay higher if greater than union.
